A house portrait is a housewarming gift that lasts: a drawing of the new home, made from a photo, with the address or the date of the key handover optionally included.

Also beautiful for the childhood home where you grew up, or another place with a story. And before anything is printed, I personally check every design.

How it works

1. Upload your photo
Choose your favorite photo: the sharper the photo, the better the result.

2. See your portrait instantly
Within 60 seconds, two versions of your portrait will appear: a soft watercolor and a realistic pencil sketch. Choose the style that suits you best.

3. Personalize with text
Optionally add a name, date, or personal message and choose the font that suits you. What you see on the screen is exactly what you will receive.

4. I check your design
Before anything is printed, I personally review every design. If I have any doubts about the photo, I will contact you.

5. Delivered within 1-3 business days
Printed on premium paper, beautifully packaged and ready to give.

Achtergrond is wit dus jammer

Hi Patricia, bedankt voor je feedback! Ik neem dit mee. Mocht je in de toekomst nog eens bestellen, stuur me dan even een berichtje. Dan geef ik de achtergrond graag handmatig een andere kleur.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which photo works best for a house portrait?

Almost any photo will work, as long as the front of the house is clearly visible. A photo taken in daylight, straight from the front, gives the best result. The sharper the photo, the more beautiful the drawing.

Which style suits a house portrait best?

You can choose between a watercolor and a pencil sketch. Watercolor is soft and warm, in color, and gives the house a warm, atmospheric look. A pencil sketch is black and white, with fine shading and a classic, timeless look that fits beautifully in a modern interior. Not sure? You will see both versions right next to each other before you choose.

What is an original housewarming gift?

A drawing of their own home, made from a photo, is unique. Not something they already have, but their new place in a style that suits the interior. Something they won't put away, but hang up.

Can I also have a drawing made of my childhood home?

Yes. The childhood home where you grew up, the holiday home, the café of your first date, or the building where you worked happily for years: every place with a story deserves a place on the wall.

What is the difference with a drawing from a free AI app?

A free app often creates an image that is mainly suitable for your phone. At Personal Prints, you get a sharp illustration that is suitable for printing, even at 30x40 cm. All the details of the house remain clearly visible and the colors match well with what you see in the editor. On the 192-gram premium matte paper, they just look a little softer than on a bright screen. Before anything is printed, I personally check every design.

Can I have the house portrait delivered framed?

Yes. When ordering, choose a frame in black aluminum (from €19.95) or oak (from €22.95), both with glass. I frame it for free and your portrait arrives ready to hang. The frames are intended to be hung up and do not come with a stand.

How quickly will the house portrait be delivered?

Within 1-3 business days, your portrait will be delivered to your home, so even if the housewarming party is already almost here, you will be on time. Every portrait is gift-wrapped as standard, ready to give immediately. Shipping costs €3.95 in the Netherlands and €5.95 to Belgium.

For what occasion do you give a house portrait as a gift?

As a housewarming gift for a new home, as a gift for moving in together or the first home you buy, as a farewell to an old home, or just because: your own place captured in a drawing for the wall.

How much does it cost to have a house portrait drawn?

A portrait costs €29.95 in A4 and €37.95 in 30x40 cm, including an address or date if you add one. You can choose a frame separately.
